  1. What is a User Number?

    A User Number is similar to a password and identifies the set of Domain Names that were registered in a single order. The User Number is the key to changing the email forwarding, web forwarding and administrative contact details of your Domain Name(s) and therefore must be kept secret at all times.

  2. How do I set up or update my email forwarding address?

    To set up or update your email forwarding address, go to www2.beepdomains.co.uk/updates.html and choose Update Email Forwarding Address. You must then complete the form providing the following information:

    • Reply Email Address
      the email address that will receive confirmation of the update.
    • Domain Name
      your domain name that requires an email forwarding update.
    • User Number
      the User Number associated with your Domain Name.
    • New Email Forwarding Address
      the new email forwarding address to be used with the Domain Name.

    Then press Update and your email forwarding address will be updated.

  3. How do I set up or update my web forwarding address?

    To set up or update your web forwarding address, go to www2.beepdomains.co.uk/updates.html and choose Update Web Forwarding Address. You must then complete the form providing the following information:

    • Reply Email Address
      the email address that will receive confirmation of the update.
    • Domain Name
      your domain name that requires a web forwarding update.
    • User Number
      the User Number associated with your Domain Name.
    • New Web Forwarding Address
      the new web forwarding address (web address or IP address) to be used with the Domain Name.

    Then press Update and your web forwarding address will be updated.

  4. Is it possible to supply an IP address for the web forwarding service?

    Yes, an IP address (example: 195.13.108.108) may be supplied and used for the web forwarding address. It is important to realise that unless you are confident that your IP address is static (will not change without your knowledge), a web address (example: www.you.isp.net) should be provided as the web forwarding address.

  5. How do I update my administrative contact details?

    To update your administrative contact details, go to www2.beepdomains.co.uk/updates.html and choose Update Administrative Contact Details. You must then complete the form providing the following information:

    • Reply Email Address
      the email address that will receive confirmation of the update.
    • Domain Name
      your domain name that requires an administrative contact details update.
    • User Number
      the User Number associated with your Domain Name.
    • New Administrative Contact Details
      the new contact details including a Name, Address, Email, Phone, Fax, etc...

    Then press Update and your administrative contact details will be updated.

  6. When do updates take effect?

    Updates take effect every day at 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

  7. Do I need to update my Billing address?

    No, the billing address does not require to be updated. A billing address is only requested when ordering a registration or a renewal of a Domain Name and will be requested only at that time.

  8. How do I transfer my Domain Name to another service provider?

    To transfer your Domain Name to another service provider, go to our transfer page. You must then complete the form providing the following information:

    • Reply Email Address
      the email address that will receive confirmation of the transfer.
    • Domain Name
      your domain name that is going to be transferred.
    • User Number
      the User Number associated with your Domain Name.
    • New Service Provider
      the name of the new service provider if transferring a .com/.net/.org or the Nominet TAG of the new service provider if transferring a UK Domain Name.

    Then press Transfer from BeepDomains and we will perform the necessary tasks to enable the new service provider to complete the transfer.

  9. How do I cancel a Domain Name registration?

    In order to delete your Domain Name registration, please email support@beepdomains.co.uk quoting the Domain Name to be cancelled. BeepDomains will then get in touch with the administrative contact for the Domain Name with instructions on how to proceed.

  10. How do I change the Registrant of a Domain Name?

    In order to change the Registrant of a Domain Name, please email support@beepdomains.co.uk quoting your Domain Name and the new Registrant name. BeepDomains will then get in touch with the administrative contact for the Domain Name with instructions on how to proceed.

  11. What is a Nominet UK Certificate?

    A Nominet Certificate is a document issued to the registrant of a UK Domain Name by the UK Naming Authority (Nominet UK). This document shows proof of your UK Domain Name registration. The Certificate takes between 2 and 3 months to be issued from the initial Domain Name registration date. The Nominet Certificate includes a receipt that needs to be filled in by the administrative contact and returned to Nominet UK (using the included pre-paid envelop).

  12. What happens if I have forgotten my User Number or mistakenly divulged my User Number to a third party?

    If your User Number has become insecure, please email priority@beepdomains.co.uk and we will provide your administrative contact with a new User Number.

  13. I am having trouble with my BeepDomains Service!

    If you are experiencing any difficulties with your BeepDomains service, please email support@beepdomains.co.uk detailing the problem and our technical team will look into it.
